Caleb Williams' second game back signals the Bears as a legitimate long-term contender alongside Drake May's Patriots.

• Caleb Williams breaks out: In his second game back from a hamstring injury, Williams led the Bears to a 5-2 record beating the Patriots on Thursday Night Football, with hosts projecting a long-term Bears-Patriots rivalry (Caleb Williams vs. Drake May) as a future Super Bowl storyline.
• Cole Kmet likely done for season: ESPN's Ian Rapaport said Bears TE Cole Kmet suffered what appears to be a season-ending non-contact knee injury; Rapaport also covered Colts GM search/trade deadline (Nov 9/10) dynamics around Jonathan Taylor and Quentin Nelson, Puka Nacua's calf injury, Lamar Jackson's uncertain return, and Baker Mayfield's custom thumb glove (built with help from the Tampa Bay Rays).
