Privacy Policy.

Last updated June 10, 2026

Ethmos is in early access. This document is a plain-English summary of how the service works today; it will be replaced by formal terms before general availability.

What we collect

Your account — your email address and name, via our sign-in provider. Your content — the newsletters you forward to your Ethmos address, the podcasts you subscribe to, the documents you upload, and the research-agent queries you write. Basic usage — operational logs (errors, processing events) needed to run and debug the service.

How we use it

One purpose: producing your summaries, research digests, and knowledge base. We don't use your content to train AI models, we don't sell it, and we don't share it with other users. Email you forward to Ethmos is processed automatically; non-newsletter mail that slips through filters is dropped, and new senders wait in your Review queue until you approve them.

Who processes it

Ethmos runs on a small set of infrastructure providers acting on our instructions: hosting and database providers store your data; authentication is handled by our sign-in provider; AI providers (for summarization and audio transcription) process content transiently to generate your results. None of them are permitted to use your content for their own purposes, including model training.

Retention & deletion

Your content stays in your account for as long as you keep it. Delete your account and everything we hold about you — forwarded mail, transcripts, summaries, your knowledge base — is deleted with it. During early access, contact us via the in-app Feedback link to request deletion and we'll confirm when it's done.

Cookies

Ethmos uses the session cookies required to keep you signed in. No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics pixels.

Changes

As the product matures this policy will be replaced by a formal, counsel-reviewed version. Material changes will be flagged in the app.
