Delta Force Legend Reveals What War Really Does to a Man | PBD Podcast #873

A former Delta Force operator argues Saddam's removal empowered Iran and that U.S. agencies lacked real intelligence throughout the Iraq War.

• Elite selection psychology: McPhee says Delta seeks a narrow psychological band — "88.7 to 88.9" on a 100-point scale — not pure physical specimens, citing the maxim that a man who won't drive himself isn't worth driving.
• No CIA trust: McPhee says there was zero human intelligence in Iraq, calls agency recruits "just college kids," and says he refused to ever work for any part of government again after seeing it in action.
